HSS Featured on CNA: Managing Haemophilia Beyond Treatment

As part of the launch of our national study, Living with Haemophilia in Singapore: Care, Lived Experience, and Outcomes, HSS was featured on Channel NewsAsia’s CNA938 Wellness Hour.

In the interview, HSS President Gerald Foo shared reflections on how haemophilia care in Singapore has evolved over the years — from a life-threatening condition to a manageable chronic one — and why it is now important to look beyond treatment and clinical outcomes. The conversation also touched on the day-to-day realities faced by people with haemophilia and their caregivers, including the physical, emotional, and practical demands that continue despite high levels of treatment adherence.

This discussion builds on the key insights from our study, which highlights the opportunity to take a more holistic view of care — one that supports not just medical outcomes, but quality of life and participation in everyday activities.
