HSS at World Haemophilia Day 2025: Connecting with the Community

The Haemophilia Society of Singapore (HSS) was proud to participate in this year’s World Haemophilia Day event, held in collaboration with medical partners and industry stakeholders. HSS hosted a booth at the event, engaging with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmaceutical representatives, policy makers, and members of the public.

Our booth served as a platform to raise awareness of haemophilia and other bleeding disorders, and to share more about the work we do as a patient support organisation. The conversations were meaningful and encouraging, with many visitors expressing interest in how the community can better support persons living with haemophilia.

“I am glad that we participated,” said HSS President Chee Chun Woei. “We had good interactions with the key stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, pharmaceuticals, other associations, and a policymaker from MOH.”

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our presence at the event possible. Special thanks to Sister Chiew Ying and team for their help in preparing and printing materials, and to our dedicated volunteers Kai Ern, Kwong Luen, Lee May, and her son Jue Ming, who helped to run the booth throughout the day. Leong Ching and his wife May also came by in the morning to lend their support—thank you!

We are grateful for the opportunity to represent the voice of the haemophilia community, and we look forward to continuing these important conversations with our partners and stakeholders.
